Language of Music
An introduction to the world and language of music, which incorporates the natural movement of children and the natural rhythms of poetry as building blocks. Melodies are drawn from the rich traditions of folk music from around the world. The simple five-tone pentatonic scale is used to encourage elemental improvisation. Children engage in play-like activities while learning:
1. Fundamentals of music theory
2. Ear training, solfege
3. Beginning composition
