Bergmann Program

4th - 12th Grade

SOL-LA is proud to be working with the Santa Monica Education Foundation's Peggy Bergmann Arts Endowment Fund to provide 18 free private music lessons throughout the school year for qualifying students in SMMUSD.

Why SOL-LA?

1. We provide private instrumental lessons.

   • Students can choose to have either in person and/or online lessons

2. We provide positive musical experiences for all ability levels and learning styles.

3. Our teaching artists are deeply committed to providing high quality and engaging lessons that support both creativity and structure.

4. At no additional cost, students are welcome and encouraged to join SOL-LA Group string ensembles at our Santa Monica campus on Saturdays.

5. SOL-LA Faculty includes SMMUSD string coaches.

6. SOL-LA provides numerous informal and formal performance opportunities helping to build students' ability and confidence in a supportive environment.

7. All students are welcome to attend workshops and masterclasses lead by dynamic and outstanding artists and performers.
