BERGMANN PROGRAM
SOL-LA is proud to be working with the Santa Monica Education Foundation's Peggy Bergmann Arts Endowment Fund to provide 18 free private music lessons throughout the school year for qualifying students. All students who participate in the Bergmann program are eligible to apply for the Lysy Fellowship, which offers a rich and holistic curriculum that not only includes private instruction, but chamber music, ensemble participation, music theory, and our signature wellness and communication course, Bravura: Musical Expression & Wellness. Students who are accepted into the Lysy Fellowship program, will benefit from an additional 20 private lessons and throughout the year.

We believe that music is in everyone and for everyone. Our structured program is designed to support the individual path of every student fostering a lifelong connection to music. Our teaching artists are deeply committed to providing high quality and engaging lessons that support both creativity and structure.
We offer High-quality, engaging lessons in violin, viola, cello, bass, clarinet and voice for students of all ability levels and learning styles.
At no additional cost, students are encouraged to join SOL-LA group classes as appropriate to their age and level at our Santa Monica campus on Saturdays as space allows, up to a value of $1800 per semester.
Bergmann students have the opportunity to apply to the Lysy Fellowship program, which includes an 20 additional private lessons, chamber music, and other group classes throughout the year.
SOL-LA Faculty includes SMMUSD teachers and coaches.
Students will have informal and formal performance opportunities helping to build students' ability and confidence in a supportive environment.
Students can perform in a solo recital alongside a professional collaborative pianist, free of charge.
Students are given the opportunity to attend workshops and masterclasses lead by dynamic and outstanding artists and performers.
Instruction available in: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Clarinet, and Voice
