ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (2ND-5TH)
Junior Ensemble
This group class is a first step into the world of collaborative play for violins, violas and cellos. Students learn to blend together with harmony, melody and even dissonance!
Grades: 2nd-5th
Day/Time: Saturdays, 9:00am - 10:00am
Prerequisite: 1+ years playing experience, must be taking individual lessons. If new to SOL-LA, student will be asked to submit a recording or play for the Artistic Director.

Woodwind Ensemble
Dive into the delightful world of woodwind ensemble repertoire! Improve the your technique whilst making music through fun-filled lessons that turn notes and rhythms into exciting musical adventures.

Music Detectives
With magnifying glasses in hand, students uncover the secrets of the language of music such as note reading, musical terms, singing, listening, history, repertoire observations and elementary score analysis.
Grades: 2nd-5th
Day/Time: Saturdays, 10:00am - 10:45am
Prerequisite: 1+ year playing experience

Music Theory Fundamentals I
This class is a friendly and comprehensive introduction to the language of music covering the key elements of musical grammar: note reading, rhythm, simple meters, scales, and musical terms. Students will also develop their ear training and sight-singing skills through fun, interactive activities.
Grades: 4th-8th

Prerequisite: Music Detectives or 2+ years note reading experience.

Guitar Fundamentals
Dive into guitar playing and make new friends in this beginner class, where you will learn basic techniques, rhythms, and scales across various guitar styles. No prior experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to strum away!

Each group class is billed at $600 a semester for a 14 week semester
